Training Highlights

Human Trafficking 101

For both the public and private sectors

This training is designed to reach any person or any business, church, school, or organization who are interested in learning more about the realities of human trafficking, how to prevent it and what steps to take if you suspect human trafficking. This training is designed to be audience specific including:

  • Organizations providing services to youth or adults including trauma informed practices
  • School systems with specific training for counselors and educators, age specific for students, parents or guardians. These trainings do satisfy the State of TN requirements for school training and offer continuing education credits for professional staff
  • Church training for leadership and youth
  • Business training for workforce development
  • Hospitality and transportation industry training
  • Professional, civic and community group trainings

Training Highlights

How to Assess, Identify, Prevent, and Serve

Agency specific training

State and local agencies such as law enforcement, prosecution, criminal justice, juvenile justice, court systems, emergency management, and medical or fire services

  • POST certification alongside The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for law enforcement: two to six hours depending on specific needs of department trained
  • Continuing education credits offered for professionals
  • Trainings designed specific to agency needs such as familial trafficking, at risk youth in state or local systems, trauma bonds, preventing re-victimization, etc.

About this event

Together we are one voice against human trafficking.

Run For Their Freedom is a 5k night race/1 mile walk with the purpose of raising awareness about human trafficking and the reality of it in our community.

This event is hosted by WillowBend Farms, Inc., a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization with a mission to restore survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and sexual violence. Race proceeds and sponsorships are used to support this mission.
